Healthy Hot Chocolate
Everyone loves a good ol’ hot chocolate, it’s one of the best things about winter. It’s just so warming and comforting, like a big hug! I have to tell you, I LOVE this healthier take more than traditional hot chocolate. The homemade magic milk and almond butter work together perfectly to make each sip super thick and creamy, while the maple adds all the sweetness you need! The best part about this hot chocolate is the super-food cacao, which is packed with disease-fighting antioxidants, and lots of the happy-hormone serotonin, which acts as a natural mood boost and anti-depressant! Oh, did I mention it makes this drink extra chocolaty?!
– 1 cup of homemade cashew magic milk
– 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
– 2 teaspoons of raw cacao
– 1 teaspoon of almond butter
Place all the ingredients into a saucepan and heat gently. Keep whisking as the hot chocolate heats to ensure all the ingredients mix together and the almond butter doesn’t get stuck at the bottom. Be sure to take the pan off the heat before it reaches boiling point to keep all the good nutrients in!
