This recipe is on repeat in my kitchen right now. I’m obsessed. If you love golden turmeric lattes in the colder months, then you’ve gotta try this oat bowl! I know what you’re thinking and although I see nothing wrong with curry for breakfast, no, it doesn’t taste like that. Instead, imagine a bowl of delicious cinnamon spices warming together to make the creamiest + most satisfying breakfast oats!
Place a saucepan with 1/3 cup oats slightly covered in water on the stove top to boil. Next add your spices. 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1/8 tsp ginger, tiny pinch of cayenne and a few cracks of black pepper. Reduce the temp to low once the oats are simmering. Crack in one egg and combine vigorously to incorporate or add plant based protein of choice if you don’t eat animal products. Once the egg is stirred in, your oats will be nice and creamy! Top with berries, pomegranates, almond butter and basil.
