Banana Bread Bites

Banana bread is one of my all time favorites!! My nan would always make us one with her ripe bananas growing up. We loved it! What made her banana bread taste so good was slightly undercooking it, which made it so moist and delicious! I wanted to make a healthier version of her banana bread and make it into a bite size snack for taking to work. These are naturally sweetened by the banana and dates and contain no added sugar, which makes them the perfect afternoon snack to satisfy your sweet tooth!


  • 1 small banana
  • 6 Medjool dates (pits removed)
  • 3/4 cup large unsweetened coconut flakes + 1/4 cup for rolling
  • 3/4 cup raw cashews 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil


In a food processor (or powerful blender) add all of the ingredients and blend until the mixture comes together. It should be sticky and consist of little tiny pieces. With your hands, start forming the mixture into 1 inch balls and then roll them in the extra coconut flakes. Place in a container and refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm. Enjoy!

Makes 8 balls. Keep refrigerated for up to a week.
