3 TIPS TO GET ACTIVE ON THE WEEKEND
The weekend is when I like to take a break from working out at the gym, get outside and try something different. If you want to keep active all week long to achieve your fitness goals, here are my top three ways to stay active and have fun on the weekend:
Explore a new a new neighborhood or neighboring town. While this sounds like a leisurely activity, you can get a hell of a lot of miles in walking the streets of a new area.
Try a new fitness class. Recently I’ve been trying different spin classes on Saturday mornings. These classes are high energy and leave you ready to tackle brunch afterward. Try Saving Grace, its bomb. Oh, and the avocado espresso smoothie is life changing.
Take a walk in the park. If you don’t have a dog to walk (yet) no worries! Meet up with a friend and chat about your week while getting in a power walk. Not only is the greenery visually pleasing, but it will leave you feeling super relaxed! Studies show that walking in big open spaces (like parks) helps to reduce stress, which is great after a long work week.
